Norah AlJunaidi, CCC-SLP founded Sunbird Speech in 2022. She aims to expand access to speech-language pathology services for people experiencing cognitive, speech, language and voice challenges. Additionally, she is passionate about equitable healthcare with a social action lens. Most importantly, she looks forward to applying this mission as a speech-language pathologist. On top of that, she loves exploring new restaurants and reading science fiction novels!

SUNBIRD SPEECH’S MISSION STATEMENT

Firstly, Sunbird Speech’s mission is to provide strengths-based speech, language, cognitive and voice services in order to increase equitable access to personal, educational and career opportunities at all stages of life. As a result, we empower adolescents and adults to self-advocate in order to increase confidence in a variety of preferred communication opportunities.

SUNBIRD SPEECH’S VISION STATEMENT

Above all, we treat all patients with equitable, supportive and inclusive care. Secondly, we focus on transformative justice and patient advocacy. Beyond that, Sunbird Speech aims to address systemic inequity by educating educators, healthcare professionals and businesses to adapt their management and/or teaching. Lastly, this will help to better serve passionate neurodivergent and disabled adults entering the workforce.
